• Fertigungsmesstechnikr*innen mit Schwerpunkt Produktmessung arbeiten in Prüflabors und industriellen Fertigungen, wo durch die zunehmend automatisierte Produktion Genauigkeit und Qualität durch Messtechnik immer wichtiger werden. Sie sind dabei sowohl an der Herstellung von Produkten (Fertigung) als auch in der Qualitätssicherung (Messung) beteiligt, arbeiten eng mit der Entwicklung und Produktion zusammen. Sie bearbeiten CAD-Modelle und bedienen so Messmaschinen und Computertomographen.
