Their tasks include the manufacturing of products as well as quality assurance. This involves, for example, the processing of CAD models as well as the operation of measurement machines and computer tomographs. Therefore, the apprentices are in close contact with the development and production departments. Due to increasing automation, the topics accuracy and quality through measurement technology are playing an important role in this environment. As a consequence, production measurement technicians will continue to be in demand in metal processing and plastics technology companies as well as in the automotive industry.
