After forwarding your application, including the associated personal data, to the respective company of the Hirschmann Automotive Group to which you have applied, the corresponding data processing will be carried out by this company of the Hirschmann Automotive Group as data controller.

3. IS THERE A DATA PROTECTION OFFICER?

No, we have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not legally required to do so.

4. WHICH PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS?

We only process personal data that is related to your job application, data that you have provided to us and data that results from the application process.

This may include, in particular, general personal data (such as name, address, date of birth, contact details, etc.), information about your professional qualifications, education, correspondence and, if applicable, other data relevant to your application (e.g. salary expectations, outcome of the application process, etc.).

5. FOR WHICH PURPOSE AND ON WHICH LEGAL BASIS DO WE PROCESS YOUR DATA?

You can apply for a specific announced position or send us an unsolicited application. We will then contact you by e-mail or telephone and inform you about the next steps in the recruiting process.

We process your personal data exclusively for the purpose of conducting the application process and - if the application process is completed positively - for the purpose of establishing the employment relationship with us. Your personal data will therefore be processed as part of our recruiting process (personnel search and selection) solely for the purpose of filling vacant positions. All details about the processing of personal data of our employees can be found in a separate privacy policy.

If we have to reject your application, we will only store your name and the reason for rejection for record-keeping purposes.

At your express request and on the basis of your voluntary consent declaration, which can be revoked at any time, we will also keep your data on record beyond the recruiting process. In this way, we can inform you about future positions by e-mail or telephone, if necessary, and offer you the opportunity to reapply to us with your applicant profile at a later date.

Without your personal data, we cannot carry out a recruiting process with you and therefore cannot process your application.

All of these data processing activities are necessary to process your job application. The legal basis is therefore the implementation of pre-contractual measures and also compliance with legal obligations.

6. WHERE DID WE GET YOUR DATA?

The personal data we process is generally obtained from you yourself or is obtained as part of the recruiting process.

7. WILL YOUR DATA BE TRANSFERRED TO THIRD PARTIES?

After receiving your online job application, we will send your application documents, including the associated personal data, to the respective company of the Hirschmann Automotive Group to which you have applied in order to carry out the application process with you.

We only pass on your personal data within our company to the departments and persons who need this data (such as our HR department and managers in the department that wants to fill the vacant position).

Your data will only be transferred to recipients outside our company if we are legally entitled or obliged to do so. Under these conditions, external recipients of your personal data may be, for example, authorities, courts, consultants or legal representatives.

In addition, we transfer your personal data to the necessary extent to external service providers (so-called data processors) who process your data on our behalf on the basis of separate contractual agreements. These external service providers include, for example, IT service providers or software providers.

8. IS DATA TRANSFERRED TO RECIPIENTS OUTSIDE THE EU?

Yes, the recipients of your data may be located outside the EU (for example, our service providers). For these cases, we have implemented additional safeguards to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

9. HOW LONG WILL YOUR DATA BE STORED?

We store your personal data only as long as they are required for the respective purpose. When determining the storage period, we are guided by the following criteria:

Your data will generally be stored until the recruiting process is completed and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you have submitted a separate, voluntary consent declaration, which can be revoked at any time, for the retention of your personal data beyond the recruiting process, your data will be stored for this purpose until your consent declaration is revoked.

In addition, we are subject to numerous statutory retention and documentation obligations. According to these regulations, we must retain some of your data for 7 years.

Of course, we will always keep only those personal data that are still necessary. We will therefore delete all data that is no longer necessary.

10. IS YOUR DATA SUBJECT TO AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING?

No, we do not perform automated decision-making or profiling.

11. IS THE PROVISION OF YOUR DATA REQUIRED BY LAW OR CONTRACT?

No, you are neither legally nor contractually obligated to provide us with your personal data. However, please note that your personal data is required for handling the recruiting process. If we do not receive any personal data from you, we will not be able to process your job application.

12. WHICH RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE?

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process (right of access). You also have the right to rectification if the data we process is incomplete or incorrect. In addition, you have - if the legal requirements are met - a right to erasure of your personal data and a right to restriction of processing. In addition, you have a right to data portability. Insofar as the processing of your personal data is carried out for purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by us, you also have the right to object to the processing of this data on grounds arising from your particular situation.

In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the (Austrian) data protection authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data is not carried out lawfully.
